Electric City FC exists to provide a premier platform for talented players from the Upstate to showcase their abilities, compete at a high level, and pursue opportunities in the beautiful game. Rooted deeply in the community and founded to honor the legacy of Coach Jimmy George’s mother, Johnnie, the club is dedicated to elevating local soccer talent and celebrating the passion that resides in the region. We strive to build a culture of excellence, integrity, and growth — on the pitch and through meaningful engagement off it. Through strong coaching, community partnerships, and commitment to player development, Electric City FC champions the quality of Upstate players and brings the excitement of competitive soccer to our supporters and neighbors.

Jimmy George
Premier Head Coach and Director of Coaching
Jimmy George is the Head Coach and Founder of Electric City FC, a club he established to honor the memory and lifelong wishes of his mother, Johnnie George. A proud local, Jimmy has spent his entire life in the area, building deep roots within the community both on and off the field. He played his high school soccer at TL Hanna before continuing his career at Charleston Southern, where he further developed his passion for the game.

Jimmy has spent the majority of his coaching career with CASA Pride, where he built a reputation for developing talent and leading teams to multiple championships across various age groups and competitive levels. His success at the youth level laid the foundation for the creation of Electric City FC, where he carried that winning mentality into the club’s inaugural seasons. Most recently, he guided ECFC to championship success last spring, further cementing his impact on the local soccer landscape.

Ravon Ashy
Assistant & Goalkeeper Coach
Ravon Ashy serves as the Goalkeeper Coach for Electric City FC, bringing elite experience and specialized training to the club’s defensive unit. As the owner of Upstate Goalkeeping and the Goalkeeper Director at CASA Pride, Ravon has built a reputation for developing top-tier goalkeepers across the region. His expertise is backed by an accomplished playing career that saw him advance to the national stage and earn Best XI honors. Passionate about refining the technical, tactical, and mental aspects of the position, Ravon is committed to raising the standard of goalkeeping in the Upstate and helping ECFC compete at the highest level.

Hutch Novacek
Division 1 Head Coach & Premier Assistant Coach
Coach Novacek is an accomplished former player and experienced coach with a background spanning youth, collegiate, national, and international soccer. As a player, he represented the New Jersey Select and New Jersey State Teams, earned All-American honors at Raritan Valley Community College, and was inducted into the North High School Hall of Fame. His playing career included international experience with U18 AC Milan and professional competition with FC Herentals in Belgium’s 2nd Division.

Transitioning into coaching, Hutch has built a reputation for developing top-level talent and fostering competitive excellence. He previously held a UEFA B License and holds multiple United Soccer Coaches credentials, including Advanced Regional, National, Director of Coaching, and Reading the Game certifications. His coaching résumé features guiding a 2000 girls team and a 2002 boys team to third-place finishes at the U.S. Youth Soccer Nationals.
